My passion first and foremost is to write. There's nothing quite as satisfying as telling a story that inspires your audience; or better still, challenges their opinions. I also make a pretty mean cheese scone...

My career in publishing began seven years ago. Training on the job, and studying at the same time, I started out as an editorial assistant; eleven months in I was offered a promotion and became a deputy editor. I’ve worked my way through different roles in the industry as my knowledge and experience have progressed: I have been a staff writer, sub-editor, project manager, and staff trainer, among other things. I know the production process inside out, have taken the lead on digital campaigns, and developed numerous content strategies. Now I work for myself, writing and editing for various print and digital brands in London, Kent, and Sussex.

 

My experience covers food, craft, travel, photography, and lifestyle as far as subject matter goes, but I have a wide range of interests and knowledge in areas including: music, fashion, and health, and have covered topics within the tech retail sector as well as local and national news stories. Style, tone and visual identity are particular strengths. I'm pretty laid-back and easy to get on with, too.
